Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lou Barron, her infant child Robert Clay Barron, her parents Mattie Ella Wood Balentine and Loyal Alton Balentine, her sister Juanita Balentine, and her brother Bubba Balentine.
Elizabeth is best remembered for her unwavering devotion to Her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her inexhaustible recall of Bible knowledge and hymns, and her exuberant joyful attitude. Elizabeth was a Bible scholar who taught in a Christian College in Dallas. Later in life, she was a rancher that called each of her over 100 sheep by name. She loved to sing, pray, and worship. She never met a stranger and had a true love for all people. There was no one like her. This world is a better place because of Elizabeth Barron.
Her legacy lives on in the teachings she imparted to her son Mark Ashley Barron, grandchildren Mark Matthew Barron, Stephanie Markette Barron, Christian Lee Barron, Joshua Dale Barron, Mackenzie James Martin, her sister Gloria Balentine Gillespie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
