Elaine King Randall went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday evening with her husband, Ken Randall, and her son, Craig Randall, at her side. Elaine was well known and widely respected as a woman of considerable charm and gracious spirit. She never met a stranger. Elaine was born, December 19, 1934 and raised in Amarillo, Texas where she graduated from Amarillo High School. She attended Stephens College in Missouri and the University of Texas at Austin. Elaine and Ken married July 5, 1958 and shortly after moved to San Angelo, where Ken started the family business and they started their family. Elaine was very active in the community where she was involved with the San Angelo Junior League, the Girl Scout Council, the San Angelo Symphony and the First Christian Church. She cherished the summers she spent at the family mountain cabin in Idlewild, New Mexico, where she developed many lifelong friends. Elaine loved traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm King.
Honorary pall bearers: Craig Randall, George Randall, Don Stephenson, Doug Haman, Jonathan Haman, Ben Mathers, and Nick James.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ken Randall, daughter Melanie Stephenson and husband Don, son Craig Randall, daughter Carrie Haman and husband Doug; grandchildren, Caroline Stephenson, Shelby Stephenson, Skyler Stephenson, Jonathan Haman and Ansley Haman.
Visitation will be at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church with Rev. Ben G. Hubert officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Meals for the Elderly, The San Angelo Symphony or to a charity of your choosing.
