Doris James Potter Cunningham

Doris married Leonard Potter on October 29, 1946 and had 4 children. She later married Dr. Don Cunningham on August 1st, 2001.

Doris was a dedicated member of The Baptist Church. She had a passion for people and will always be remembered for her music. She was a talented singer and piano player.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lonnie and Morgan, her sister, Betty, and her husbands, Leonard Potter and Dr. Don Cunningham.

She is survived by her children, Gene Potter and wife Janis, Sandra Angel and husband Mike, Cynthia Hyatt and husband Kenneth, Dennis Potter and wife Kim; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 from 5-7 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home. A funeral service for Doris will be held Saturday, at 1 pm on December 14, 2024 in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation to your church or any ministry that benefits the work of the LORD or Baptist Memorial Community.
