Dennis Allen Gorsching, 77, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. He was born on December 2, 1944 in Shafter, California to Allen Levi Gorsching and Lucy Maurine (Green) Gorsching. Dennis attended High School in Taft, California then went on to obtain his Master’s Degree from Angelo State and Northern Colorado State Universities. He then began working at Shannon Medical Center in the lab as a Medical Technician, retiring after 50 years. Dennis married Felis Flores on July 13, 1983 and had 2 children. He was a proud member of St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus and had a passion for loving his children and grandchildren and will always be remembered for his knowledge and interest in always wanting to learn more about our faith. Dennis was preceded in death by Catherine Gorsching, Allen and Lucy Gorsching, his in-laws Luisa and Victorio Flores and his beloved pet companion Paco Taco. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Felis Gorsching; his brother Martin Gorsching and wife Evonne; his children Michael Connally, Ben Connally and wife Susie of San Angelo, Melissa Gorsching of San Angelo, Christopher Gorsching and Nora of San Antonio and Trisha Alvis of Missouri and adopted son Gilbert Mendoza; special grandsons Payten Connally and wife Morgan of Ohio, Dominic Ruiz and Ivy, granddaughters Kaitlin Connally of San Antonio, Hannah and Mina Gorsching of San Antonio, Maximillan Gorsching of San Antonio, Jacoby and Jasmine Gorsching of San Angelo; great grandchildren Wyatt Connally, Kai Ruiz, Jocelyn Gorsching and Jaelynn Gorsching. He also leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews in Texas, California and Oklahoma. A rosary will be recited Monday, November 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Connally, Ben Connally, Christopher Gorsching, Robert Rodriguez, Benny Flores, Gilbert Mendoza and Felipe Gamez.
