She was born on December 20th, 1958, to Cruz Alonzo and Luisa Atilano in San Angelo, Texas.
She worked for RG Barry’s for 24 years as a Supervisor, while also holding multiple jobs during the same time to provide for her family. She was not only our Mother but our Best Friend, Protector, Mentor, and Hero. She single handily raised 3 beautiful daughters and instilled the values of Faith, Family, and Friends. Her caring and compassion towards all was unmeasurable and radiated through everyone she encountered. She married her Soulmate, Enrique Perez on September 1, 2000 and was married for 12 years before losing him to cancer.
She is survived by her mother, Luisa Atilano; her daughters, Crystal Aguilar and spouse, Greg Aguilar Jr.; Jennifer Torres, and Jessica Torres all of San Angelo, TX; her step-children, Christine Vasquez and spouse, Jose Vasquez; Henry N. Perez Jr.; Conrad Perez and spouse, Melissa Perez, and Crystal Perez; her beloved grandchildren, Julius Aguilar, Cierra Aguilar, Elynna Davis, JR Holder, Aaliyah Holder, Adrianna Vasquez, and Josh Perez; her brother, Alex Atilano; her sister, Gloria Esquivel; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique Perez; father, Cruz Alonzo Atilano; and granddaughters, Faye Valentine Davis and Desiree Marie Holder.
Celebrations of her life will begin with a Rosary being held at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 28, 2016 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home of San Angelo.
Pallbearers will be Alex Atilano, Henry N. Perez Jr., Conrad Perez, Julius Aguilar, David Torres Jr., Thomas Davis Jr., Jesse Capuchina, Jason Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Aguilar Jr., Mike Hernandez, and Ben Esquivel.
