He was born on July 6, 1964 in San Angelo, Texas. David attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Lincoln Junior High School, and graduated from Lake View High School in May 1982. David also attended Angelo State University.
David worked for several companies, such as Weiss Quartz Manufacturing and ATT.
One of David’s greatest accomplishments was his role as a father. David embraced fatherhood with all his being. Watching David interact with his son, Alexander, was a precious gift. David held wisdom beyond his years. To spend time with him would result in a shift in thought or a view of life from a different perspective. David’s legacy is the influence, generosity, and humor with which he indelibly graced his loved ones.
David is survived by his son, Alexander Rey Sevier and (Alexander’s mother) Esther Hernandez, both of Fort Worth, Texas. He also survived by his parents, Victor and Celia Sevier of San Angelo, Texas. Surviving siblings are Victor M. D. and wife, Carla Sevier, of Austin, Texas, Patricio Sevier, of Vancouver, Washington, Angelita Sevier, of Austin, Texas, and Imelda Sevier Peterson and husband, Roderick Peterson of Kennedale, Texas. Surviving nieces and nephews, are Tamara Sevier, Victoria and husband, Cody Baker, of Austin, Texas, and Wellington “Wells” Aubrey Peterson of Kennedale, Texas.
Rosary service is at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, May 20, 2016. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home.
