David Lee Lewis passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016. He was married nearly 50 years to Saiko Abe Lewis, and he has one daughter, Mary, and three grandchildren: Eileen, Jack and Akira. He was born on April 15, 1938, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Harry and Opal Lewis. David is a retired Air Force Major. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and an MBA from Angelo State University in May of 1987. After retiring from the Air Force, he was a professor at Howard College in San Angelo for 10 years. He was also a member of the West Angelo Kiwanis Club for over 40 years and the San Angelo Radio Amateur Club. He was also certified and active in many emergency services to which he was committed to serving the community of San Angelo.
