C.J. Ford

C.J. was born January, 18, 1931, to Wade O. and Zula Mae Ford in San Angelo. He married the love of his life, Joyce, on April 19, 1948.

C.J. is survived by his wife, Joyce; their children, Wynell Keel (Joe), James Ford, Elaine Johnston and Debbie Ford, all of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters Charlene Cauley (Leo) and Betty Butts (Don); and sister-in-law Betty Sue Ford.

C.J. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong member of Northside Church of Christ, serving as an officer and board member. He was an entrepreneur, innovator, pilot, musician and an all-around craftsman.

The family appreciates the excellent care given by Shannon Medical Center, Shannon Skilled Nursing Facility (St. John Campus) and Hospice of San Angelo.

Viewing will be Friday and Saturday, prior to the service at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Service is at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 23, in the funeral home chapel with Brother James Murphy officiating.
