Celia V. Reyes

Celia V. Reyes, 84, of San Angelo went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in San Angelo. The Rosary will be 6:00 P.M., Monday, March 7, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Celia was born December 1, 1926 in Rocksprings, Texas to Francisco and Francisca Longoria. She married Jose Franco in 1941. Celia was a Licensed Vocational Nurse all of her life. She retired from Ethicon after 19 years and then worked for Baptist Memorials Retirement Center for another 10 years. Celia was a friend to everyone she met and she was especially fond of her friends and coworkers that she worked with over the years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Celia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jose Franco, her daughters Ninfa Franco and Yolanda Zapata and one Sister Laura Cummings. She is survived by her loving family, Sons, Eddie L. Franco and his wife Juanita, Jose Franco and his wife Consuelo and Armando Franco and Mayela, all of Rocksprings, TX., 21 Grandchildren; 48 Great Grandchildren; Numerous Great Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Ramona Holguin, of San Angelo, and Oralia Torres, of San Angelo. Celia also had numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and close friends. Pallbearers for the service will be Alvaro Franco, Francisco Franco, Ernesto Franco, Eddie Franco III, Rudy Franco and Fred Franco.
