Betsy Huerta

Betsy Huerta, age 58, loving mother of three, and adoring wife to husband Vicente Huerta, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her loved ones. Betsy was born August 6, 1964, in San Angelo, Texas to Rufino and Julia Reyna Garcia. She grew up surrounded by her large loving family, she had four brothers and three sisters. She met her husband, Vicente, in 1997, and married in 2021 after rekindling their love for one another. She had three children: Stephanie Rodriguez, Juliana Sanchez, and Romaine Gauna; all of San Angelo, Tx. Betsy was known as a generous, light-hearted, loving, and hard-working soul. She enjoyed being in the presence and caring of children and went on to making a career in childcare for many years. She loved the simple things in life and spending time with her precious family. Her grandchildren, Nina Castro, Zavian Zuniga, Cora Sanchez, and Micah Rodriguez were her absolute world. Betsy loved to go to local events, kayaking, paddle boating, walks with her dogs, and enjoyed the country peace out in Brady, Texas. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Betsy is survived by her husband, three children, and four grandkids. Also, her four brothers, Roy Garcia and wife Mary Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Rufino Garcia and wife Lucynda Garcia, Ralph Garcia and wife Claudia Garcia; and three sisters, Martha Guerra and husband Alejos Guerra, Criselda Gonzales, and Esmeralda Salinas and husband Carlos Salinas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Betsy will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 W Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, Texas 76903.

A celebration of life service will occur Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are Vicente Huerta, Pedro Huerta, Lupe Huerta, Rufino Garcia, Roy Garcia, Ralph Garcia, Zavian Zuniga and Romaine Gauna.

Betsy will be laid to rest in Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, 4989 FM 1223, San Angelo, Texas 76905-2912.
