Barbara was a gifted singer, songwriter and pianist, most recently holding the position of Music Director at Water Valley Baptist Church before her move to Lewisville. She traveled around Texas for many of her younger years performing country music, and she passed that love of music on to her daughters. Her passion for music also included attending live music events and senior dances with her husband, Jim. Barbara was creative in other ways as well, including creating beautiful scrapbooks for her grandchildren, and she enjoyed many fun hours of creating 3D diamond art portraits for her friends and family.
Barbara was the rock of her family, always coordinating visits and family reunions, and sharing her music and her faith. All through her long period of illness, she held onto her faith in Jesus, and shared her testimony with so many. She never met a stranger, and was a blessing to so many on her journey. Ultimately, Barbara knew the Lord, and was ready to meet him.
We’ll not shed any tears for Barbara; that doesn’t mean we won’t cry. The tears are for those of us still here, for our absence from her, because she is now where we all long to be, in Paradise.
