Barbara “Bobbie” Gail Killingsworth, 73, of San Angelo passed away on June 7, 2022. She was born July 1, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Cora Lee (Hasty) Sexton and James Sexton. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Bob Ross. Barbara graduated from Midland High in 1966.
She married the love of her life, Richard Killingsworth on July 20, 1968. Together they raised 4 children.
Barbara enjoyed arts and crafts, working in her yard, tending to her flower garden, watching her grandchildren play baseball and quilting. She was a lover of all animals.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Killingsworth, her parents, her step father, Bob Ross; her sister, Carma Lee Durham; and her step son, Alan Killingsworth. She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, JJ, who passed just before her on Saturday, June 4 and met her in heaven.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Roger Killingsworth of Proctor, Texas; Donna Bell of San Angelo, Texas; and Joyce Sikes of Miles, Texas; her sister, Norma Jean Whitehead of Conroe, Texas and her brother, James “Buzz” Sexton and wife Bonnie of Carlsbad, New Mexico. As well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Heather Wilson.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday June 9, 2022 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, June 10, 2022 at Fairmount Cemetery.
