

Argelia (Frances) Maria Barnes beloved and devoted wife and mother left this earthly world on May 7, 2016. "Frances" was born in the Republic of Panama on July 23, 1936. She was married and had two sons, Alonso and Nelson Bonilla while in Panama. She met the love of her life while dad was stationed in Panama. Dad worked hard and got mom to the States as soon as possible. They were married in October of 1966. Soon thereafter they were blessed with two children; Carl D. Barnes Jr. was born on July 17, 1967, and Paulina Maria Towner (Barnes) born on October 31, 1972. "Frances" soon became an employee of the school district as a cook, were she remained for 28 years. She was a self taught genius for her cooking expertise. She was very proud of her accomplishment of becoming an American Citizen. After a 25 year Anniversary celebration, we lost Dad, and she remained devoted to him until her passing. She spent the last 24 years of her life forming friends and being a devoted mother. She was a devote Catholic and attended services until she was unable to attend any longer. She is survived by her three sons, Alonso Bonilla, Nelson Bonilla, and Carl D. Barnes Jr.. One daughter Paulina Maria Towner (Barnes) and son in law Donald Towner. She also had four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Donald Towner, Russell Towner, Curtis Whitlock, James Whitlock Jr., Kenny Schooler Sr., and Taylor McLaurin. Anyone that knew mom, loved her. She was, and will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She was very well known to make delicious treats to make people feel appreciated. We Love You Mom, and know your in heaven with Dad, happy and content that you left an impression on this world that could only be left by you!! In lieu of flowers the family requests a charitable donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
