Archie Wesley Smith Jr., age 71, of San Angelo, TX, passed away on Monday, February 17th, 2020. He was born in San Angelo on March 21st, 1948 to Archie and IV Smith. Wesley graduated from Central High School in 1967. He married Penney Parker on December 24th, 1976 and together they had one daughter, Jennifer. They divorced in 1991. Wesley worked as a truck driver for a number of years and also worked as a security officer in later years. Wes was passionate about jewelry making, wood working, crafting and camping.
He is preceded in death by his brother Allen Smith and his step-mother Lillian Smith.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Chandler and her husband Joseph, along with their children Erin Chandler, Addison Chandler, Quinn Chandler, and Emalin Chandler, all of Forney, TX. He is also survived by his siblings, Vada Stewart of San Angelo, TX and Gary Smith of Odessa, TX. Wes was dearly loved and will be missed greatly.
A memorial service will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home at 2 PM on Friday, February 28th, 2020.
