Andy Allen 79, of Christoval, Texas passed away peacefully February 16th, 2024 at the ranch he loved so much. He was born March 4th, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas and adopted at 3 days old by Herman L. Allen and Elvira Bowers-Allen.
He grew up in Menard, Texas. He married Ann Hedden-Allen of Wall and they were married 56 years.
Andy was one-of-a-kind, a rough and tough cowboy who loved living on the ranch, hunting, arrowhead collecting, drag racing street rods in his younger days, western movies, classic country music and several other hobbies. He spoke fluent Spanish and never forgot a number.
Andy was well known everywhere and had many friends. He had a heart of gold and helped anyone who needed anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Crystal (Robert) Claunch of Bronte, son Brady Allen of Christoval, grandsons Corey Jernigan of Christoval, and Collin (Megan) and great granddaughter Leighton Jernigan of Bronte, and granddaughter Zoie Allen of San Angelo.
A private ceremony was held at the ranch with family and friends where he was laid to rest under his favorite tree beside his horse Red and his dog Texas. Everything was exactly as he wanted it.
He will be missed and never forgotten by his family and everyone who knew him.
