Morton and Florence Brown. He graduated from Wichita Southeast High School and continued his studies through the Electronic Computer Programming Institute. He volunteered for military service and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps.
Steven worked for Sperry Flight Systems in Alamogordo, New Mexico and Panama City, Florida. He was then employed with Intel in Sunnyvale, California, Diasonics Medical Systems in Salt Lake City, Utah and Etec Systems in Hayward, California. Some of his greatest passions included classical and jazz music, the outdoors, and hang-gliding.
Above all else, Steven loved his family. He was a loving and devoted husband and a gentle, patient, supportive and inspirational father. He was kind and generous, the peacemaker, the diplomat, and a friend to all.
He is survived by his wife Sarah and daughters Wendy (Ben) Sears, Morgan, one grandchild, Benny, his sister Suzanne Brown Morgan and his father Morton
Brown. Preceded in death by his mother Florence.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at
West Side Baptist Church, 304 S. Seneca, Wichita, Kansas. A luncheon will
follow at 12:15 p.m., at West Side Baptist Church, 304 S. Seneca.
