Ronald Alvin Butcher passed away in his home peacefully on Sunday January 29, 2017
Ron was born December 3, 1937 to Alvin D. and Irene L. Butcher in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ron has 4 sisters and 3 brothers; Janice, Linda, Diane, JoAnne, Don, Robert and William.
At the age of 10, inspired by his uncle Earl, Ron learned how to play the harmonica. Ron enjoyed performing and playing at many weddings, funerals and other occasions. He even played at his father’s funeral in 1989.
Ron was a school bus driver for Salt Lake School District for 30 years and was awarded for 30 years of safe driving. Throughout his career he was asked by the school district to teach a harmonica class.
Ron has 9 children, Sherri, Jack, Danny, Sue, Kathy, Wendie, Sandra, Dawn and Brandy.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Irene, his brother Don, sister Linda and his daughter Sherri.
Funeral services will be held on Monday February 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Friends and family are welcome to visit from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the service.
