Our beloved husband, father , grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully on July 3, 2022 at the age of 81 with his loving wife and children by his side holding his hand and loving him with all their hearts.
Robert was born on April 4,1941 in Torrey Utah to Fay C and Helen P Brinkerhoff.
Married to Shanna Lee (Hicks) Brinkerhoff on June 11, 1988. They spent the last 34 years together in a loving and caring marriage.
Robert grew up in Torrey UT, Graduated in 1959 from Wayne County High. Living in Torrey all of his younger years Robert was a farm boy, he would take his dog and go take care of the sheep up on the mountain for days by himself for days at a young age, he took care of the cattle and horses and would even help with it was time to gather them all and do the cattle drive down to other small towns to sell them at auction or buy new ones,. Robert love for horses always stayed with him and he and Shanna Lee had 2 horses for several years named Taxi and her baby Toby , they were a lot of work but he took such good care of them.
Torrey was home to Robert and even though he lived up in West Jordan UT he and Shanna Lee would go down several times over the summer months and enjoy the fresh air, Robert had plenty of things to do in Torrey because he would be up at sunrise and not come in until it was dark, he would mend fences and cut grass and just tinker all day with about everything down there, he was a man that couldn't sit still , family loved to go down with them and at the end of the day we would all just sit outside and listen to all Roberts stories of growing up in that small town and how much trouble he and his friends would cause whether it was from skipping school or drag racing in his Nova car.
Robert had family members and friends in Torrey and the whole area of Wayne County, When they would go down to Torrey several of them would stop in for a visit and catch up with each other. he was definitely loved by everyone down there.
Robert was a hard working man and was a truck driver and retired from USF Reddaway, but even after retirement he would go visit the terminal and everyone knew him, He considered them all like family because he knew them so well.
Robert was a only child but he had close cousin that he grew up with and his best friend Steve Black was like a brother to him. He and Steve have been friends since school age and even continue to be very close all these years. Robert current dog is Moe (Moe Moe), those two were best friends they were inseparable. We know Moe is aware that dad is in heaven now, and don't worry dad, Moe will watch over mom.

He became a dad to Shanna Lee's kids in 1988. Daughter Shelley Holt (Mike) . Son Allen Rockwell . Daughter Tracey Heng (Run) Son Evan Rockwell (Bonnie) . Daughter Carrie Carter (Patrick). Daughter Jennifer Hardman (Mike) ..... 25 Grandkids and 18 Great Grandkids.
Proceeded in death by both his parents Fay and Helen Brinkerhoff and a grandson Christopher Carter.

Funeral Services will be held this Saturday July 9, 2022 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary. Address 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84016
We will be only doing a Viewing and a Grave Dedication . If someone would like to say a few words they may just let one of us family members know.
Viewing hours are 10:00 am to 12:30 pm with the grave dedication to follow right after at the same place,
We will then be having a light lunch that will be prepared by the church group by Roberts and Shanna lee's house at 3pm. The church is located at 8385 S 4800 W West Jordan, UT 84088.
