Renee Christensen

Renee E. Christensen, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2017. She is survived by children Brent Anderson, Debbie Broadhead, Pamela Anderson, Becky Hanson (Trevor). Siblings Joyce “Bill” Parker, Jeannine “Kent” Nelson, Charlene Keene, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grand-children.

She was preceded in death by father Oran, mother Jennie, son Phillip, brothers Maurice and Gordon, sister Deanna, fiance Dave.

Renee was the middle child from a family of 8. She had a happy and hard-working childhood growing up on a farm in rural Payson. Renee was considered a swell gal and life of the party by her classmates. She was proud to have been the first child in her family to graduate from high school.

As a single mother, Renee worked very hard to provide for her 5 children. She was honored to have retired, after 30 years of service working for the Federal Government, from the VA Medical Center. She loved fishing, dancing, gardening and expressing love for her children in various thoughtful ways.

The family would like to thank Diane for her loving, compassionate care. Appreciation also goes out to the medical staff and hospice team.

Services will be held Thursday, April 6th at 2 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive. Viewing will be held from 12:30 – 1:45 at the mortuary prior to services.
