“Becky”
1950-2012
Our beloved sister, aunt and friend Becky Burrows, 62, passed away at her home in Murray, UT, on July 7, 2012. We can only imagine the wonderful reunion taking place in heaven!
Becky began her earthly journey on June 15, 1950 in Salt Lake City. She was the youngest of nine children born to devoted parents Lydia Fairbanks Yates and Jesse Kimball Burrows.
Becky loved cutting, gluing and coloring her “papers”. She was organized and knew where everything belonged. Puzzles, movies and celebrating her birthday and Christmas would bring her such joy. Becky loved to go for a hamburger and root beer. She was so graceful and had good rhythm when she danced with Anne Riordan’s Sunrise Dance Group. Many of the schools Becky attended were co-founded by her mother including a Special Primary at Forrest Dale Ward. Becky competed in the Special Olympics. At her request Becky was baptized on June 4, 1988 and enjoyed proxy baptisms at the Jordan River Temple. She attended Special Needs Mutual, received her patriarchal blessing and enjoyed handing out programs in the Sandy 13th Ward. Becky loved music and would sing with her hands. She enjoyed being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Having many health issues Becky was so brave and we learned many things from her. After the death of her parents she was lovingly cared for by her sister, Mary Robison. The whole Robison family helped with Becky, including “daddy” John and her best friend, Kalyn. No one was given more love than Becky!
The family would like to thank the staff of Harmony Home Hospice, Vicky, Crystal and Laura, for their loving attention.
Survivors include siblings: Leah (Jesse) Poulson, Roy Spjut, Marvin (Shirla) Burrows, Naomi (Lynn) Foote, Nancy Wright, Mary (John) Robison & Frances Nelson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Abbie Spjut & Annette Church, and brother-in-law, Edward Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Murray 16th Ward 610 West 5750 South, Murray, UT where friends and family may call from 9:30-10:45am prior to services.
