She was born March 8, 1925 in Sterling, Colorado to Elizabeth and Henry Haas. Her early life was spent on the family farm until 1943. She then went work for Western Union in Salt Lake City. In 1949 she met and married John Hansen, where they spent the next 51 years together.
Mildred is survived by sons; David, Scott (Patti), and Jeffrey. Also, 3 grandchildren; Melanie, Stephanie and Eric. In addition she is survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Preceded in death by her husband (2001), both parents and one brother.
Mom was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She served in numerous positions through the years.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 1:00 – 1:45, followed by a graveside service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive.
The family would like to express our appreciation for the service of the doctors and nurses at St. Marks Hospital during her last days.
