Oh Man!!
I just found out last week. I tried to write some stuff but I had a problem with my eyes. Guess that must mean I really liked bishop Jones. I met him at arrow. I walked in to try to get PVC smart. That planted the seeds of friendship. Mike said I was one of the few guys that could make him blow coffee out his nose. Sometimes I would sneek over to arrow I needed my ears burned off. Mike had a special way with the English language. I used to tell him as I write this now. Mike Jones was one of my few friends. I totally have a ton of respect for you. Rest at Wasatch Mike I used to pick up flowers there for all my special occasions. I won't share the story of Mike asked me if there was a way to destroy 11 train cars of fresh PVC dust. Mike your precious and your sense of humor was oh man! I am having problems with my eyes again. It was my honor being your friend.

Mike is the coolest man i have ever meet. He brightened my day all the time when i worked at seven eleven. No matter the day i was having he would make me laugh. Smart and funny man. My heart goes out to his family. He is missed.

i am sorry to hear the passing of mike.we first met on the softball field and spent many years traveling to softball games together.he was a very warm person and had the knack of being able to mesh many different attitudes together and make a working team he knew how to read each person and to get the most out of them.i have not seen him for many years since moving away but have thought of the very many good times we shared as teammates together.he was a special friend.

Eileen, Rick and I are so sorry hear of Mikes passing.I can't even imagine the sadness you and your family are going through.  He was a wonderful man.

The world has changed forever. Mike was an amazing man. He was so caring would do anything for anyone. Kids flocked to him like he was santa clause. He always would tell them he didn't like kids but they all knew better then that, as he took carload after carload of them for a ride in "grease" playing the music loud and laughing along with them. Mike you were a grandpa to many and they will miss you terribly. I guess we never got to win with our lottery tickets and open our bar in Jackson Hole but it was fun dreaming, right?  I can't even imagine life without you in it. You were such a good friend. I will love you forever and miss you until I see you again. Thanks for the shelf that you always had my beer on and for laughing nightly as I stumbled down your driveway. We watched some great shows, had many great dinners, our trip to Wendover, trips to Jackson, and so much more.Thanks for all the good times and memories.  Love, Kathy

I was a softball teammate of Mike's for four seasons back in the '80s and developed a great regard for him. He was such a friendly guy. My condolences to everyone he leaves behind.

Eilene I am so sorry to be reading about the death of Mike.  I remember when you were doing my nails before I moved to Arizona and how you would light up just talking about him and your amazing love story.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your kids. It has been years since we visited and then lost touch with each other. Pat and I have tried to contact you many different times and ways, but to no avail.

Having read the loving and memorable story of Mike and viewing the slide show brought back a flood of past days and events. It appears he enjoyed his family more than I could have imagined. I know how much he loved you and was so glad when you kids found each other. As much as Mike and I shared, there was and is so much more that he had with you.

We can only imagine the heart ache you must feel, but you and Mike have a legacy which will endure.

Eilene,   Oh my gosh, so many wonderful memories came flooding back to us this morning, when we discovered Mike had passed away.  We have always treasured our friendship with you two, and feel saddened that time and distance kept us apart.  (always great and fun neighbors..... oh the stories we could tell)

I first met Mike when he worked for Arrow Pipe in Midvale, Utah. I had just started working for Conely Co. at that time. Mike use to love to ride me every time I came in to pick up pipe. Through the years we developed a great relationship. I am truly at a lose to see him pass.

Mike was one of my favorite people.  So full of good will, humor and kindness.  I will always remember him with a fond heart and my heart goes out to all of his friends and family and especially Eilene, who I know are devastated by the loss.  Sending you all a big hug.  We are going to miss you Mike.  <3

I remember the day we met on the golf course, you were with Ross and I was with some slow lacking of interest players in the group in front of you, at the 8th hole I was down waiting for them to get there and realized that they stopped to get something to eat and Mike and Ross drove up and seen my distaste with the ones I was playing with and invited me to play with them.  That was the start of a great friendship that I will never forget.  We played many times together and always had some laughs, and some times of Mike breaking his club over his knee as well.  Our friendship grew and had some good barbeque and dinners at each others house.  Love and miss you and will remember you always.

I am so sad to hear the news of his passing. Mike was like a second dad to me.  I can remember going to all of his softball games with Tiff. How fun and scary he was all at the same time. He would always scare the hell out of the boys Tiff and I brought around the house. We felt bad for them and at the same time it was pretty funny. Mike had a gift like that. He loved his family fiercely. he will be missed by many. Thanks Mike for all the great memories.  My prayers goes out to the Jones family. I love you all!

Mike, you were a great friend.  You always made me laugh.  I used to joke and call you Saint Michael.  (yah, this Saint just cursed a little more than the others, right?!)  It was funny and then even funnier when you started answering to Saint Michael!  I enjoyed working with you all these years.  You were a friend on the business side and also a great friend on the personal side. I sure will miss you buddy.

Mike, you were a great friend and a person that always made me laugh.  I used to joke with you and call you Saint Michael.  And you would even start to answer to Saint Michael!  I have enjoyed working with you on the business side and more importantly getting to know you.  I'll miss you buddy!

Dearest Eilene, Our hearts are broken. We have known your family over 40 years. Our children played together. Buss considered Mike his best friend. Right up to the last time they made plans for golf and meeting for lunch was always in the works. Our family treasured our time together, something we will never forget. Mike was a unique character and through our mutual association with Diamond Plastics I came to thoroughly enjoy his candid sense of humor about work and life in general. As a small child I have to admit I was a little scared of Mike but as I grew up his attempts at being "scary" only made me laugh. He was my second dad. I knew that he loved me like his own, and I loved him. The news of his passing breaks my heart. I love you guys! Know I am praying for you all!

Mike doted on our kids every Halloween, making sure they got a healthy handful of candy...or two!  He was great to share a ride in his restored antique car, which my kids called "Greased Lightning".  I loved his dry whit, and his stories about Barbara Crebs and their friendly neighborly feud!  (The best was when he told a Harmon's cashier that Barbara had shoplifted, then made certain to clear it up before it went too far!)  My condolences to the family, especially Eilene.  Tritoma Avenue will not be the same without him!
