Helen Orr Peterson

Helen Orr Peterson was born September 14, 1928 (2 days after her husband) in Rupert, Idaho to Vashnall Hall and Veral (Martindale) Orr. She married her husband of 61 years on October 6, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. Helen loved crossword puzzles, reading, word search, sewing and service. She has served as Relief Society President, camp director, compassionate service leader (her favorite calling of all time), and cheerleader to her children. Helen and Don served a mission in England from November 1993 – June 1995. She is survived by son Keith (Debi), son Larry (Nan), son Ron, son Daryl (Brenda), daughter Darlene, daughter Elaine and son Mark (Janet), 40 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, 3 siblings, son (Dale Peterson), grandson (Kyle Peterson) and great-grandson (Morgen Peterson).

Viewing will be on Friday morning, February 28, from 8:00 – 9:30 am at the Rosecrest 1st ward Emmeline Chapel, 14172 S. Emmeline Drive, Herriman, Utah. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am at the same location. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn South, 13001 S 3600 W, Riverton, Utah, next to her husband.
