Glennis ‘LeNae’ Christison, 86, passed away on July 1, 2016, in Salt Lake City , UT of heart complications just days prior to her 87th birthday. She was the first child of James and Blanche Winn, and was born on July 5, 1929, in Pocatello, ID. Upon graduating from Madison High School in Rexburg, ID, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and attended LDS Business College. She began working at Garrett Freight Lines, where she met and later married Earl Leone Christison (Chris) in the Salt Lake Temple in 1948. He passed away in July 1994, and was sorely missed by her for the following 22 years. After his death, LeNae threw herself into a busy life of church, travel, serving at the Joseph Smith Building, friends and family. We often said she had more of a social life than all of her children, and it's true; she did not give up on living her life until the very end. She was our constant support and the loving center of our entire family. Sunday Dinners were a favorite event for us all.
LeNae is survived by her daughter Karen(Dave) Jackson, of Palm City, FL and sons Earl (Melba) of Lehi, UT, Jim (Kris) of Midway, UT, Bob (Patti) of Anthem, AZ and Doug (Julie) of Holladay, UT, also her brothers Dale (Colleen) Winn of Rexburg, ID and Don (Joan) Winn of Mountain Green, UT. She dearly loved and enjoyed the company of her 23 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing Friday, July 8, 6:00-8:00 pm , at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9 at 11:00 AM with a viewing before the service from 9:00-10:45 at the Kenwood 2nd Ward chapel, 1765 East 3080 South.
