Passed away peacefully Jan. 4, 2018 in S.L.C.
She was born Sept. 2, 1925 in Toquerville UT
to Archie Edmond and Mary Isabell (Stewart) Beatty/Batty.
She graduated from Hurricane High and Branch Agricultural College (BAC) in Cedar City.
After graduation she moved to Salt Lake City where she lived at the Beehive House that
was converted into a girls boarding house to safeguard young women working or
getting an education in the area, to care for their physical and spiritual well being.
She married her one true love, Keith Downing Foster in the L.D.S. St. George Temple on Sept. 28, 1946.
Our beloved Mom a cheerful optimist, was the most kind, charitable and sweetest example
to her family. She served others by accepting all church callings offered: Temple Worker, Relief Society President,
Jr Sunday School Coordinator, Young Women to name a few. Keith and Evelyn served an L.D.S. Mission in San Diego, at the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center.
Mom volunteered often to work the election polls and assignments at Welfare Square.
While her children were young, she took in ironing to make extra money for her family.
She also worked at ZCMI, art needlework department to help with the cost of
her son, Dennis's mission.
Mom was the constant nurturer by caring for and visiting family, friends and neighbors.
She always had a song in her heart and would be humming and toe tapping throughout the house.
She was most proud of her family.

Gaelynn (Archie) Blackham
Preceded in death by her husband Keith, children, twins Dean Keith and Donna,
5 sisters, 3 brothers and parents.
A viewing will be held Tues, Jan. 9, 2018 from 6-8p.m. @ Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 S Highland Dr. and Wed. Jan. 10, 2018 from 10-10:45 a.m. @ L.D.S. Parleys 5th Chapel, 2625 E Stringham Ave.
Funeral services will be held immediately following @ 11:00 a.m.
Interment:
Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband and sweet babies at Kaysville City Cemetery 500 Crestwood Rd.
till the morning of the First Resurrection, when we'll all be together again.
