Gone is her quick, bright, warm and welcoming smile. Gone is her sincere stubbornness. Gone are her brown, brown eyes. Gone is my heart. No more cooking and dining adventures. No more trips to the Oregon wineries or Utah deserts. No more "The Look". We will have to make due with the memories.
Born in Austria, moved to Eugene, Oregon and then on to Salt Lake City. Once here, the inner saleswoman broke loose. She worked at Main Street 1910, Robin's Brokerage, Cookies by Design and Cactus and Tropicals.
Survived by Bertha, Monica, Walde and Joann, Art, Ron and Karen, Michelle and Lance, Cayden, Valerie and Ethan, Lydia, Gage, Brandie, Chase, Steve and a grand collection of nieces and nephews. Precede in death by Ernie and David. Watch out boys, adult supervision is on the way.
Thank you, Michelle, Ron, Walde, Art and Angie for the help and support at the end. And a special thanks to her friends at Cactus and Tropicals for bringing bouquets of color and cards of joy and encouragement to an otherwise miserable and gloomy house. No more flowers are needed now, but I would ask everyone to plant one extra flower next spring to fill in the void that Erika's passing will leave behind.
A viewing will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. with burial after. A celebration of Erika's life will be held at Cactus and Tropicals later that same day from 6:30 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. We will see you there.
