He married Barbara Jean Hageman who had three children- Debra Hall Choat, Tracy Lynn Davis and Carol Jean Bills. He was a wonderful father to all three girls.
Douglas was President of Sun Lithographing Company and after retiring, he and Barbara enjoyed extensive travel in their motorhome as well as playing golf. He recently played in the 21st Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament and was featured in an article written in the Kerrville Daily Times. He was full of life and loved the beauty of the Hill Country with its blue bonnets. Douglas was a Christian who loved the Lord and reading the bible. He was a kind and generous man. We will forever remember his life and the life he gave others by the scripture, 1 Corinthians 13.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Barbara and their three daughters, nine grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
An open viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary on April 15, 2016 from 11:00 to 11:45
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 15 and are private and limited to family only.
