He spent most of his growing up years in Salt Lake with his brothers David, Thomas and Marlin. Don married his sweetheart Carroll Peterson in 1950. He was General Manager and President of SugarHouse Awning Company until his retirement in 1997. Don and Carroll then served 18 months in the Cherry Hills, New Jersey Mission.
He loved scouting and served for many years, and as scoutmaster many times. He was 67 years old when he led his last troop of young men
Don was a man of faith and commitment, always true to his temple and priesthood covenants. He was the first to volunteer and the last to leave, after all the chairs were put away. He loved the great outdoors, his cabin, hunting, his “Sevy humor” and his friends. He was famous for Dutch oven desserts, and was a darn good shot with a pistol.
We who love and will miss him include his wife Carroll, his daughters Christine (David) Heiner, Connie (Carlton) Fong, Colleen (Brent) Farr. Sons Donald Clark Jr. (Margaret) Sevy and Craig (MaryAnn) Sevy.
