Debra was born October 4, 1951 in Salt Lake City to Blaine and Irene Roberts Thompson. She was graduated from Olympus High School and Utah State University.
Her greatest joy was her son Trevor and her grandchildren Jordan and Aspen. Debra was employed more than 30 years at Questar Corporation primarily as a computer software trainer.
Debra loved sharing her many talents with family, friends and fellow church members. She served in the Salt Lake Temple as an ordinance worker and as a member of a Relief Society Presidency, Primary president and teacher.
She married Glenn H Robinson in 2009 and they spent almost four of their six years together serving as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Africa, Utah, and Russia. They had a home in Sandy but spent most of their time serving as missionaries, traveling, and creating a second home in Whale Pass, Alaska. Debra was a kind person who loved everyone – except those she thought were unkind to her grandchildren! She grew to become a mother and grandmother to Glenn’s children and grandchildren, and many more “sons and daughters” through her missionary service.
She is survived by her husband, parents, son Trevor (Angie), grandchildren Jordan KC (Kaitlin) and Aspen Mae, sister Vicky Johnson (Jerome), brothers Kevin (Tena) and Stephen (Christine) as well as Glenn’s children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Sandy Mount Jordan Stake Center, 9331 S. 300 E. in Sandy on Wednesday March 4 at 12:00pm. Friends may call one hour before services and on Tuesday March 3 at the Wasatch Lawn mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Debra, you were our angel on earth, now you are God’s angel in heaven.
