Cal was the "cool cat" all the way.  Wiity, stern, funny and full of life.  The great captain who genuinely looked out for family. I'll miss him and anyone like him.

Our sympathies to all the family. We didn't get to see Cal and Irene as much as we would have liked since we live in Arizona, but every opportunity was a great time due to his robust personality, wit, and warmth. He acted like you were the most important person at that moment........his love for Irene, his children, and grand and great-grands was impressive. He will be missed.

I worked with Cal at Wallace Associates in Salt Lake.  He was a true gentlemand, eager to teach and share his great knowledge and insights.  A true mentor in every sense of the word.

We have wonderful memories of being with Cal and Irene during our Salt Lake visit with Grandmother Gaddis.  It was always a happy time with our cousins.  Your dad and mom took such good care of us during our visits to their home.  May all of you find love and strength together,surrounded by your wonderful memories.

Cal gave me my first job out of the University of Utah at Dean Witter & Company in 1963.  He was a great mentor and friend.  I think of the things he taught me about the stock market and life on a daily basis and  I am proud to have known him.

Without Cal's efforts at raising the initial funds for the Utah Museum of Natural History there would not be a  museum which has achieved world status. It was my honor and pleasure to have helped him in the endeavor.

I'm thankful I was able to meet Calvin, even if it was for just a short time. What a wonderful family he has. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to care for him. My condolences to his family and those who knew him best.
