Willie was a beloved husband, loving father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, repairing vehicles, and trips to Lancaster, PA. Willie was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He retired from the Pepsi- Cola Bottling Company after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his love of his life, Verona Parsons, his wife of 68 years; two daughters, Deborah Kerns and Juanita Abbott of Salisbury; one son, Daniel Parsons and his wife, Janet of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Heather Hayward, Jacob Kerns, Victoria Ensey, and Nicholas Parsons; one sister, Sylvia Parsons; and two brothers, Roy and Rex Parsons; and many nieces and nephews.
In additions to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Burke, Pauline Burke, Patricia Parsons, Mary Messick, Judy Parsons, Geraldine Elliott, and Mable Dunham; and brothers, Warren and Mike Parsons.
The family would like to thank everyone at Coastal Hospice for their kindness to our family and wonderful care of our loved one.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 1PM at The Maryland Veterans Cemetery Eastern Shore in Hurlock, MD. Pastor Harold Hamilton will officiate.
