Virginia “Gin” Lee Holland Williams, 89, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake surrounded by her family. Born February 26, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Robley Jones Holland and Daisy Workman Holland. Gin was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the WMU director for several years. Alongside her husband Harold, she enjoyed making soup for the pastor’s luncheons and she also enjoyed teaching Sunday School and helping with Vacation Bible School. She is survived by four grandchildren, Rebecca Reynolds and her companion Steve Shrieves, James Harold Cathell, Jason Cathell, and Amy Cathell Latimer and her husband Mike; six great-grandchildren; Brandon, Hillary, and Zachery Reynolds and Amanda, Katherine, and Logan Latimer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Williams, Sr.; son, Harold L. Williams, Jr.; daughter, Ruth Ann Anderson; and brother Robley C. Holland. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday at 1pm at Immanuel Baptist Church where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The family requests that you wear her favorite color, Red. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens.
