Terry Wayne Butler, 64 of Salisbury, Maryland passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Tidal Health in Salisbury. Born January 7, 1960, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth Butler.
Terry worked as a licensed commercial plumber his entire adult life at various employers throughout the eastern shore. He was held in high esteem in his trade by those who had the privilege of working alongside him for any period.
He is survived by his son Michael Butler, Michael's girlfriend Britni Earp, Michael's half-brother Corey Short, his dedicated companion of 22 years Terri Griffin, children Matt Griffin, Brandi Austin, Nikki Nazario, son- in laws David Nazario and Kiah Austin and several wonderful grandchildren whom he adored.
Terry was born in Easton, MD and moved to Salisbury as a child, graduating from Wicomico High School in 1977. He earned numerous continuing education credits for vocational courses. He was a certified master plumber and medical gas installer in the state of Maryland. Throughout his career he took part in the mechanical construction of various commercial facilities including hospitals, schools, state and federal government buildings, and many others.
Terry was an avid fisherman from times as a young boy all the way up through his final months with his son and friends in Ocean City, Maryland. He enjoyed many spectacular fishing trips with his son, Michael, in the Chesapeake Bay and Ocean City areas catching rockfish, drum fish, tuna, flounder, and many others. While fishing was his favorite hobby, Terry most of all enjoyed taking care of his loved ones in many ways. He was known for being a dedicated father, companion, poppy, and "Bunky" to those he loved in a selfless fashion.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Terry to The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society.
A celebration of life event will be announced at a later time via direct channels for close friends and family.
