Sue R. Lankford, 79, of Salisbury passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at her home. Born June 20, 1943 in Vienna she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth Richardson. Sue graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from Goldey-Beacom College in 1963. She worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant for Wicomico Board of Education for many years. Along with her husband Frank they enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan.
She is survived by her two children, Kelli Michaud and her husband David of Salisbury and Charles "Chuck" Lankford and his wife Jodi of Fredericksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Erin Michaud of Richmond, VA, Maggie Michaud of Richmond, VA, and Chelsea Lankford of Fredericksburg, VA; brother-in-law, Gene Peed; and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles “Frank” Lankford in 2012; her beloved dog, Dan; and brother, Robert Richardson.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11AM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. The Very Rev. David Michaud will officiate. Interment will follow in Cokesbury Cemetery.
