Mr. Lee was the first Korean coal miner to go into Germany in 1964. He was an amateur boxer for the Korean Air Force. In 1976 Mr. Lee immigrated to the United States to better his life for himself and his family. Over the years Mr. Lee owned many businesses and impacted many people through his work. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bokhee Lee; two sons, Yung Jin Lee and his wife Keum Ah Lee and Ho Jin Lee and his wife Jae Lee; grandchildren, James and Jenny, Ethan, and Brennan; a brother; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Family and friends may visit Sunday from 4pm-6pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury with a Celebration of his Life at 6pm.
