Robert L. Taylor

For many years he taught ninth grade English at Wicomico High School which is where he met the love of his life, Julia, who was his student teacher prior to her graduation from college. Together they travelled the world and enjoyed spending their summer vacations in various places. Over the years, Bob and Julia loved the companionship of their cats. Following his retirement, he spent a great deal reading in his library and worked part-time co-managing Merritt Athletic Club for several years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Julia B. Taylor, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Richard “Dick” Taylor and David C. Taylor.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:00am at Trinity United Methodist Church on High Street in Salisbury. Rev. Dr. Vaughn Hayden and Rev. Dale Vroman will officiate the service.
