Richard “Dick” D. Parsons, 83, of Salisbury passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at his home. Born November 28, 1941, in Pocomoke City he was the son of the late Robley Derrickson Parsons and Bernice Martin Parsons.
Dick graduated from Pocomoke High School and went to work for the Department of Agriculture where he was a PDA Manager until he retired in 2007. He was a life-time member of Salisbury Optimist Club. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed having oyster parties in his garage.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Becky Parsons; daughter, Amy Kelley and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Sarah Kelley and Shawn Kelley; stepchildren, Tisa Elliott and her husband Rick and Kristen Trice and her husband Aaron; step grandchildren, Jozy and Stella Trice and MacKenzie and Kayton Elliott; sister, Suzanne Moiles and her husband Gordon; a nephew, Greg Moiles and his wife Leslie and their son, Gage and a niece, Shannon Schaecher, and her husband, Jim and their son, Jack. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Parsons in 1998.
Friends may visit to share stories and memories with the family about Dick on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10am-12pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury.
