It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Frances Neely at the age of 76. Many knew her by the last name of Bradley. On October 15, 2022, Rachel lost her battle with pneumonia and cancer. She fought long and hard with breast cancer that spanned over several years.
She is survived by her children; Eva Bradley, Samantha Willin, Will Bradley, and one sister Nancy Lealos plus many other friends and family spread all over the United States.
Rachel, born to Cecil and Alice Waller from Delmar, Delaware in 1946, was a vivacious, charismatic person who with her husband Robert Bradley, chose to raise their children in Alaska where she dabbled in modeling and learned to hunt, fish, pan for gold, and run her own steel building company. After 16 years in Alaska, she returned to Delmarva where she worked tirelessly as a counselor for disabled individuals and made a huge, positive impact on many lives.
She loved to crochet, raise houseplants, and rescue small animals; though her biggest passion in life was ballroom dance.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or service held, as she worried in this time of pandemic, about large gatherings of individuals. She will be cremated and her ashes spread over the private land that she loved, here on Delmarva.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Delmarva Cat Connection at: www.delmarvacatconnection.rescuegroups.org
