Lisa Michele Fothergill, 45, of Delmar passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Born February 16, 1976 she was the daughter of James and Judy Brittingham.
Michele graduated from Delmar Junior Senior High School. She was very strong in her faith and was a member of Beacon Baptist Church where she was very active and for many years taught Sunday School. She was a proud owner of a 69’ Camaro that she enjoyed doing burnouts. Michele’s main devotion was to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her flowers and always looked forward to decorating for Christmas.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 20 years, King Harvey Fothergill; five children, Michael Parsons and his wife Rylee, Sean Parsons, Trishia Fothergill, Faith Fothergill and Harvey Fothergill; one granddaughter, Cameron Parsons and one grandbaby on the way, maternal grandfather, Harry McRobie; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Bennett; three sisters, Jamie Bennett, Angela Richardson and her husband Terry, and Kristy Layfield; aunt, Ellen Carey and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Barbara McRobie; paternal grandmother, Margaret Bennett; great-grandmother, Hazel Gross; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John S. Fothergill and Margaret Ann Fothergill.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jeffrey Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery.
