Kaye D. Ordway, 80, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Coastal Hospice at The Lake. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Howard Bassett and Frances Anna Farlow, she was later adopted by Harry S. Dearstyne, Jr.
Kaye was most proud of her career as director at Wayne County Red Cross in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Prior to working for the Red Cross, she worked as an administrative assistant in Emergency Management. She enjoyed doing crafts, baking Strawberry Rhubarb pies, and fishing at local lakes in Pennsylvania. Kaye and her husband, Ron, enjoyed square dancing together and did it almost every weekend. She was also a member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her loving children; Kim Richter and her husband, Mike, Karen Black and her husband, Dave, and Keith Ordway; grandchildren, Geoffrey Guy, Jessica Moore, Ashley Archer, Katie Garton; sisters; Nancy Phillips, Debbie Bassett-Jones, and one brother, Bill Bassett. Kaye is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her loving cat, Lankford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Ordway.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
