Judy Ann Parsons

Judy Ann Parsons, 76, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Salisbury Nursing home. Born January 30, 1940 in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mable Parsons. Judy was a retired seamstress and had worked for Manhattan and Gant Shirt Factory. More recently she worked at Linens of the Week in production. She was a member of Salisbury Baptist Temple. She is survived by brothers, Willie “Buddy”, Roy, Rex, and Michael Parsons; sisters, Sylvia Parsons and Virginia Burke; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Warren Parsons; and sisters, Mable Dunham, Mary Messick, Patricia Parsons, Pauline Burke, and Geraldine Elliott. A special thanks to all of the CNA’s, GNA’s and nurses on the Homestead Unit at Salisbury Nursing Home for the love and care shown to Ms. Judy. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Oren Perdue and Rev. Carlo Leto will officiate. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
