Harry Harvey Timmons, 79, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Tidal Health. Born in Willards, he was the son of the late Preston and Nancy Timmons.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and even had his own stock car in his younger years. For over thirty years, he coached Salvation Army baseball (Reds, Dodgers, and Phillies), girls basketball, youth air rifle, and taught hunter safety and firearm safety. He was a member and volunteer at the Moose Lodge 654 and Sons of the America Legion 64. He worked as a truck driver throughout his life and most recently, for Air Products and Chemicals for many years. He meant so much too so many people.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen Timmons. He is also survived by three children, Keith Timmons (Jeannie), Lisa Eure (Steve), and Kim Bratten (Raymond). He also has five grandchildren, Erin McCoy (Kevin), Andrew Eure, Jacob Bratten, Rachel Bratten, and Sarah Bratten and two great-grandchildren, Dean McCoy and Grant McCoy. He also leaves behind two special cousins, Patsy Dize and Faye Holloway.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 23, at Christ United Methodist Church in Salisbury at 12:00pm with visitation an hour prior. Pastor Koo and Pastor Duncan will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ United Methodist Church at 211 Phillip Morris Dr., Salisbury, MD 21804.
