In addition to his parents, he is now reunited with his brothers Roger “Nick” Johnson, and Hubert Johnson who gained his wings shortly after being born.
Dwight was part of the family that owned and operated Johnson’s Well Drilling for many years. A team that was composed of Dwight, his dad Preston, and his brother Nick, and later on his son Chris. Together they made a great team, and had some fun on the job while building a well-known name in the community! Dwight loved to watch baseball and football and engage with family and friends in their fantasy football leagues. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, and a collector of Cal Ripken, Jr. memorabilia. In years past, Dwight also played on the Delmarva Evangelistic Church Softball Team as a shortstop, this was also a family event as his father coached, and his brother was a pitcher.
When he was able, he enjoyed visiting with his friends and hanging out at his favorite local place Kellyn’s Kafe. Dwight was a loving family man who liked to joke and laugh. He will be missed by many!
He is survived by his three children Chris Johnson, Jaimi (Jordan) Cannon, and Tyler Johnson; five grandchildren Savanah, Noah, Hailey, Logan, and Caiden; and many other friends and family.
A memorial service will be scheduled and announced later.
