Charles “Charlie” Joseph Horner, Jr., 81, of Salisbury passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born January 19, 1940 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Charles Joseph Horner, Sr. and Wanda Horner.
Charlie was a United States Army Veteran. His true passion was spending time with his sons and their families, drag racing at the US 13 Dragway in Delmar. He also enjoyed playing cards and golfing with his friends Ken and Gee. Quick with a smile, Charlie was always known to have a story to tell. He retired from Penn Fiber in Greenwood, DE where he worked as an industrial Maintenance Technician.
He is survived by four sons, Steven Horner and his wife Denise, Richard Horner, Kevin Horner and his wife Michele, and Eric Horner; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Steven Horner, Jr. and his brother, Robert “Butch” Horner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
