Bruce Lee Fender, 60, of Hebron and formerly of Smyrna, DE passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at his home. Born July 9, 1962 he was the son of the late Ray and Henny Fender. Bruce attended Smyrna High School. After high school, he worked as a truck driver for Mountaire Farms and assisted his farming friends, Russell and Marlene Dunn and John and Karen Tigner when they needed help. He was an avid NASCAR fan and for years was on bowling and billiard leagues. He was a man of great character who loved and was loved by all who knew him especially his family.
He is survived by his sister, Patty Jones; two nieces, Cindy Coker and Melissa Foxwell and her husband, Wayne; nephew, Ricky Coker; six great- nieces and great-nephews, Cole, Aubrey, Miranda, Skyla, Lily, and Kaden; and his beloved cat, Cali. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda L. Lowman.
