Barbara Ann Edwards

Barbara Ann Edwards went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the age of 85. Born in Bloomsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry B. Edwards, Jr. and Martha E. Edwards. She attended Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Medical Records Accreditation Degree in 1974 in Salisbury, MD. She was employed at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for 20 years where she was the Manager of Medical Records and Transcription Department. Upon retiring from PRMC, she worked at King Fah’d Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Upon returning to the United States, she retired in 1996 from Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital in Salisbury, MD where she held the position of Director of Medical Records. She was instrumental in the development of the new facility when it was built. She was a member of American Health Information Management Association. She was a member and past President of the VFW Post 194 Auxiliary in Salisbury, MD She was a very avid reader and LOVED all types of crossword puzzles (the harder the better). She was a past member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Hebron, MD and Freshwater Dream Center, Salisbury, MD. She was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord Jesus Christ. Barbara is survived by two daughter, Pamela B. Webster and husband, the late Roger L. Webster, Sr. and Rebecca S. Mills and husband Michael. One granddaughter, Landra and Jospeh Harris; three grandsons, Jacob Mills and Kat, Roger Webster, Jr. and wife Angela, Joshua Mills and wife Brandy. Five great grandchildren, Luke and Logan Harris; Natalie and Roger Webster, III; and Blake Mills; and step great-granddaughter, Chelsea Pitts. A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held Friday at 6PM at Parkway Church of God, 600 Edison St., Salisbury, MD where friends may visit from 5pm-6pm. Pastor Greg Morris will officiate.
