Travis was a graduate of McNary High School and attended Linn Benton Community College. He was also a graduate of Western Culinary Institute. After graduating he was chosen to live and work in Lanai, Hawaii. He loved living there exploring the island and swam with dolphins. He was a passionate, talented chef and a hard worker. He enjoyed cooking for his loved ones. He made the best pecan pie.
Travis was a very loving, kind and caring person since he was a child. He would give the shirt off his back to help others and did so many times. Travis was happy, adventurous, intelligent and had the most wonderful smile. He liked to ride his motorcycle fast, loved rock music and was a skilled skateboarder since he was a teen. Travis enjoyed family get-togethers playing croquet, ping pong, cards and video games. No matter what game or sport he played he was a fun and masterful opponent.
Travis is a beloved son, a loving brother, a fun uncle and a great friend to many. He will always be an important part of his family, loved very dearly and deeply missed.
Travis is survived by his parents Judy and Chris Haugen, his sisters Trudy Martin and Jamie Derekson, his nephews Bren, Dakota and Liam, his niece Issabella and many relatives.
