Born in Hood River, Oregon to William and Addie Woerger on October 14, 1916, Theresa grew up to become a very successful real estate agent for 28 years at Century 21 reality. Theresa married the love of her life Donald L. Fickle on October 5, 1956, in Bellingham, Washington just nine days before her birthday.
Donald and Theresa Loved to travel and go on fishing trips together. They went to places like China, Thailand, Australia, New Zeeland, Hawaii, and Canada, collecting coins and teddy bears along the way.
Theresa was known as the matriarch of the family. She was always there for her family loving each one of them, and not being afraid to dish out the tough love when necessary. Theresa was greatly inspired by Jesus Christ and his teachings, attending the Catholic Church on a regular basis. She left an unforgettable mark on all of us who loved her so dearly.
Preceding Theresa in death was her husband Donald L. Fickel, son Jack Fickel, son Richard Lovaas, grandson Gregg Lovass, and grandson Scott Fickel.
Surviving Theresa is her daughter Jane Fickel of Salem, OR, grandson, Brad (Cathy) Lovaas of Olympia, WA, grandson, Steve (Teresa Sykova) Lovaas of Olympia, WA, granddaughter, Molly (Tim) McCalib of Sedro Woolley, WA, and her daughter in-law Bette Lovaas of Lacey, WA.
A graveside service for Theresa will be held on Friday August 29, 2014 at 1:30pm at Restlawn Memory Gardens. In Lieu of flowers the family wishes for you to make a contribution to St Jude’s Children Hospital in Theresa’s name.
Theresa is cared for by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom directors.
