Sharon L. Gallagher was born in St. Francis, Kansas and lived in Oregon for most of her life. She was a fiercely independent and loyal woman who cherished time with family and close friends. Retired from the Oregon State Dept of Education, Sharon enjoyed traveling, her long-time bridge club, reading, and following NW Sports Teams. On December 1, 2022, Sharon passed away peacefully. She was predeceased by her husband Harold (Bud) Freres, daughter, René Freres, and longtime companion, Bob Freres. She is survived by her daughter, Kari Freres, her grandsons, Travis and Taylor Calhoun, her great grandchildren Eliza and Calvin Calhoun, and loving cat, Mocha. No services will be held at Sharon’s request. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society or another animal charity of choice.
