Scott, an eagle eye and perfectionist, was born in Salem, Oregon to Roger and Sharon Monette. He attended South Salem High School and Solid Rock Church and had a career as an auto mechanic followed by work at the cannery.
Scott’s cleverness, sixth sense about events and all around adventurous character mixed well with his passion for family, friends and pets. Holding a fishing pole, an item to tinker with, a hunting rifle, or his nephew gave him the most enjoyment in life. He also loved to watch Trail Blazer games and NASCAR races, but his big heart and helpful ways always found time for others, including assisting his father with business. Their last trip to the beach and the time he packed his five-point elk are his family’s fondest memory.
Scott is preceded in death by his mother Sharon Winters Monette; survived by his father, Roger Monette of Keizer, OR; brothers, Neal Monette of Salem, Shawn Monette of Tacoma, WA, and Christopher Monette of Salem, OR. Scott was also blessed with a niece, Cassidy Monette; and nephew, Joshua Monette.
